Vooma secures $16.6m in funding to build the leading AI agents for logistics

We started Vooma with the belief that logistics professionals are held back from performing at their full potential because they’re bogged down by the hundreds of critical but tedious tasks that prevent them from focusing on building relationships and solving complex logistics problems.
Our mission is to provide the men and women that keep America’s economy moving the best tools to win and execute more freight.
Today we’re announcing two major steps towards our vision.
We’re thrilled to announce that Vooma has secured $16.6 million in funding.
Last year we closed $3.6 million in seed funding led by Index Ventures, with participation from founders and executives from major logistics and tech companies including Arrive Logistics, Convoy, Loop, McVestCo, Motive, NFI Ventures, Permanent Capital, Project44, Ryder, Sope Creek Capital, and Uber Freight, as well as Formula 1 world champion and founder of Rosberg Ventures Nico Rosberg, and Plaid co-founder William Hockey.
On the heels of our rapid growth, we just closed a $13 million series A round led by Craft Ventures with participation from HOF Capital, Definition Capital, Soma Capital and Index Ventures.
We launched in 2023 with Vooma Quote and Vooma Build, our quoting and order-entry assistants.
In the last year, we’ve signed many of the industry’s top brokers and carriers as customers including Echo Global Logistics, MoLo / Arcbest, Arrive Logistics, Evans Transportation, MODE Global, NFI Logistics, Sunset Transportation and more.
We’ve grown revenue by 12.5x, increased transaction volume by over 32x, and built hundreds of thousands of loads through our platform. We’ve also established partnerships with leading industry players like McLeod, Greenscreens, Turvo and Front.
Our quoting and load building products are saving brokers and carriers hours each day. Reps no longer have to switch constantly between three or more systems – everything they need is right there in their inbox. They’re getting quotes out in seconds instead of minutes and winning more freight as a result.
Load building used to be painful, slow and error prone. Now loads are built in a couple of clicks with fewer errors. Reps are getting loads scheduled and dispatched faster than ever.
We’ve made our customers dramatically more productive in their inbox, but quoting and order entry are just the beginning.
Along with our funding, we’re excited to announce the launch of our Vooma Agents platform and our newest product, Vooma Voice.
Vooma Agents is the first-of-its-kind multi-channel AI platform for logistics, empowering companies to build autonomous agents with freight expertise that can execute complex workflows across email, voice and text. In the future we believe the best logistics professionals will be responsible for building and managing swarms of agents that execute tasks on their behalf, synthesise data from all sources in real time, and help them improve their decision making – Vooma Agents is the foundation enabling this future.
Vooma Agents are built in natural language, can capture the nuance of the tribal knowledge needed in freight, can communicate across all channels - email, text or calls - and can be dispatched to execute tasks like scheduling, track n’ trace, covering loads and POD retrieval.
With Vooma Agents logistics companies will be able to scale faster and operate at dramatically higher loads-per-person, and their teams will have more headspace to think strategically, build deep relationships, and proactively problem solve.
Vooma Voice is the newest capability on the Vooma Agents platform. Vooma Voice enables Vooma Agents to make and receive calls, as a stand alone voice agent or as part of a multi-channel workflow. With Vooma Voice, brokers and carriers can offload vital but often tedious workflows like inbound load bookings, appointment scheduling, and check calls.
With this new funding we’re gearing up to expand our team across engineering, product, sales and customer success to keep pace with our rapid growth. Expect many more exciting developments over the coming months.
